This black belt is suitable for practitioners within the International Kyokushin Organization (IKO) and follows the traditional style of Kyokushinkai karate. It is designed for intensive training, long-term use, and a clean traditional appearance.
Thanks to its firm construction, the belt feels stable around the waist and maintains its shape well during regular use. This type of belt is often chosen by karate practitioners who value durability, a neat finish, and a classic look.
This belt has a firm structure and is intended for karate practitioners who prefer a belt with a solid feel. Its construction helps the belt maintain its shape and gives it a clean appearance, even with regular training.
The embroidery is applied before the belt is fully assembled. This creates a neat and durable finish without loose or distracting embroidery traces on the reverse side. The stitch lines run over the embroidered area, contributing to the strong construction and traditional appearance of the belt.
The standard width of this belt is 42 mm. Wider versions are also available in 45 mm and 47 mm.
These wider options are often chosen by larger practitioners or instructors who prefer a belt that visually suits a broader frame.
Your name can be embroidered on the belt in Japanese Katakana. If you already have an existing spelling on a previous belt, gi, or certificate, we recommend using the same version for consistency.
If you do not yet have an existing Japanese spelling, your name can be converted to Katakana based on the name you provide.
Step 1: If you already have embroidery on a previous belt, gi, or certificate, please send us a clear photo or scan in JPEG or PDF format by email, including your order number.
Step 2: If you do not yet have existing embroidery, simply enter your name in the designated field. You may provide your name in Western characters or Japanese. If needed, it will be converted to Katakana for you.
In some cases, we may request additional verification of your dan rank, such as a certificate.
The dan rank stripes are embroidered around the belt in gold thread, following the traditional style commonly used in full-contact karate.
The number of stripes can be selected through the product options on the product page.
Because this belt is made to order and includes personal embroidery, the average production time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Due to moisture, sweat, and regular use, the belt may shrink approximately 4 to 5% over time. Please take this into account when selecting the correct length.
Optional customization is available for this belt, such as different organization embroidery, an alternative label, or a custom length. These options are only required if your belt deviates from the standard configuration.
Great belt. Thick and strong. I've been wearing it for a year and still no sign of fading unlike my previous ISAMI belt.
